Terms of Use
This is a placeholder set of terms for site launch. It will be replaced with the final, counsel-approved text before real users onboard.
1. Acceptance
By using Umama - the website at umama.ai and the Umama mobile app - you agree to these Terms of Use.
2. What Umama is
Umama is a supportive companion for pregnancy and early motherhood. It provides tracking tools and an AI-assisted informational chat.
Umama is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified clinician for health decisions.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Umama. If you enter data about a child, you must be that child’s parent or legal guardian.
4. Account & security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity on your account. Notify us at support@umama.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t use Umama to: attempt to break the service, reverse engineer it, scrape it at scale, upload unlawful content, or impersonate another person.
6. AI-assisted content
Chat responses are generated by an AI system and may be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on the AI for medical, legal, or financial decisions.
7. Intellectual property
The Umama service, name, and marks are ours. Content you enter (photos, notes) remains yours; you grant us a limited license to store and display it for the purpose of running the service for you.
8. Termination & account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by writing to support@umama.ai. See our Account & Data Deletion page. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
Umama is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Governing law and dispute venue: TBD by counsel.
